The Voice of Human is an independent, English-language publication covering work, the economy, immigration, public policy and the social forces that shape everyday life, with a primary focus on the United States and international affairs. This policy explains how we research, write, label and correct our content.
Independence and responsibility
The Voice of Human is founded, edited and published by Som Bentur. The editor is responsible for every article published on this website. We are not affiliated with any political party, government, advocacy group or employer, and no advertiser or third party has approval rights over our coverage.
Accuracy and sourcing
- We aim to base factual statements on primary or reputable sources such as government agencies, legislation, court records, official statistics, academic research, recognized institutions and established news organizations.
- Where an article relies on sources, we link to them or list them at the end of the article so readers can check them.
- Statistics, quotations and claims made by other people or organizations should be attributed to their source.
- Where facts are disputed or evidence is incomplete, we try to say so rather than present one interpretation as settled.
News, analysis and opinion
Much of our content is analysis and commentary: it interprets facts and may argue a point of view. We aim to keep verifiable facts distinct from interpretation, prediction and opinion, and to describe allegations as allegations until they are established.
Headlines and images
Headlines should reflect what the article actually supports. Featured images on this website are editorial illustrations. They are not photographs of real events unless the caption says so.
Conflicts of interest
Articles draw on the editor’s professional background, including many years of experience in human resources in the banking and financial-services sector. If a material personal or financial interest exists in a topic we cover, we will disclose it in the article.
Corrections
We correct material errors promptly. See our Corrections Policy for details.
